hello, i need some simple help yet im stumped....i simply just want to erase everything on my hard-drive and then reinstall my win xp..whats the best way to do this?..think i have a virus and just want to start fresh..thanks in advance...not worried about backing anything up either.

if you set your BIOS to boot from CD you should be able to format the drive.

have you thought about a repair installation?
