Not long ago I installed WinRAR, and inadvertently associated it with zip files. I have since uninstalled WinRAR (I really don't need it), but now all my zip files do not have the associated "zipper folder" icon. How can I restore this.

I've tried file types, but .zip was not listed. Tried adding it, but it won't take. I simply want my zip files to have its original icon back.

How can I do this?

To restore the Windows XP Zip file integration, type this command from Start, Run

REGSVR32 ZIPFLDR.DLL

You may need to reboot to see the change.
