Still no joy.
Not sure what caused the graphics to go in the first place.
They look almost normal when using the internet ( just a little blurry) but if i open microsoft word at the same time as the net the colours all go stripey and non-exsistant. I haven't got any of the disc's, the laptop was issued to me by school when i started to teach. I could wait for couple of weeks for the IT team at school to fix it. But its really annoying and was hoping I could fix it myself.

that may be the problem you may not have the privileges to add any drivers, the IT dept will have to do it for you

Oh!!! I presumed as I had administrators rights and have managed to download other stuff I would be able to do it. Oh well never mind.

I tried the link and managed to safe the file 315-315a, its a zip file so i have extracted the files. but i don't know what to do next. the only one that says set up is for VGA and after a couple of seconds it says it cannot find the correct driver.
