    Hi, sorry another question
Somebody borrowed my computer and logged onto Windows Messenger with there name.
I am now unable to get rid of it. Everytime I start up its there and says I am on line. How can I get rid of it, I just keep on getting all their messages through. I have tried to delete Messenger but canīt even do that
    Please help

Hello mate, firstly if you use messenger then can you just sign in and check the box 'remember me on this computer'? If not or you use MSN messenger try this open windows messenger then go to options or preferences in there somewhere is an option 'enable windows messenger on startup' or similar like 'start messenger with windows' make sure this box is unchecked apply and it wont startup again, if however you want rid for good do this instead of deleting the installation folder navigate to it (it should be in C:\Program Files and the program is in the folder named 'Messenger' simply rename the folder to something like Messenger.old to remind yourself what it is and windows wont bother trying to recreate it. Hope that helped mate, I remember going throught the exact same thing! Headache
    Cheers!

    Hi,

I'll assume you mean Windows Messenger 4.7, not to be confused with MSN Messenger.

To remove Windows Messenger, go to Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs, select Add/Remove Windows Components, and uncheck Windows Messenger.

For what it's worth, uninstalling might not be necessary. Consider configuring Windows Messenger not to start up when you log in. That's a simple checkbox in Windows Messenger's options.

    Cheers
    Ron
