Does the monitor light go green? Do you get a No Signal message?

If the monitor is OK you should see the above.

If not: have you tried another monitor? And or cable?

no the monitor light does not come on and i dont get a no signal message because the monitor stays on standby unless my tower recognises it.

I was told that the RAM might be loose or not inserted correctly or broken so i checked the RAM in another pc and it worked perfectly so i placed it back in my other pc but nothing happens.

I have tried another cable and monitor but still nothing, P.S the monitor is in fully working condition becasue i tried that on another tower aswell.

What is the make and model of the computer?

What happens with the case LED's when you power on?

Also some manufacturers have diagnostic LED's on the rear of the case.

Also do you hear any beeps?

Try booting without any RAM and see if it beeps.

Unplugging the computer and holding in the Power button for a few seconds should clear/ ground the motherboard. If the motherboard has an LED this should go out.

From this point clearing the CMOS might help. Are you familiar with that process on this machine?

The make of the pc is key technology i think.

The LED's light up, the green one is shown for the power and is on and the red LED for HDD busy comes on for few seconds then goes off and stays off.

The tower has no diagnostic LED's on the read of the case.

No beeps at all are made.

I have just tried to boot the pc without any RAM then cleared the motherboard then placed the RAM back inside and powered it up and vwala thanks it worked.

Can you please tell me how can i clear the CMOS if it will help now ??

The pc now boots up and says " Veryfiying DMI POOL DATA" and then nothing happens from there can you please tell me what that means??

    Thanks
