Is this an XP, Word, or IE problem?

Is this an XP, Word, or IE problem?

In MS Word when you click INSERT HYPERLINK, there are three boxes: RECENT FILES, BROWSED PAGES, and INSERTED LINKS.

How do I make the old entries in these boxes go away - especially in the BROWSED PAGES box? (Dumping the HISTORY in IE does not help.) These lists are beginning to take up an enormous amount of space!

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

I went to Support and looked at the article, but my registry entries did not have a 10.0. Mine had a 9.0 and 8.0.

Anyway, I searched for every File Name MRU subkey and deleted the value in all of them. Did not work. I rebooted and the entries were all still there in the Insert Hyperlink lists in MS Word.

Got any other ideas on how to fix this. It is getting rather fexing.

    Thanks.
