Insert floppy > Right click A: under My Computer > Format > Quick Format

Take another floppy and go to the format option but choose:

Create an MS-DOS startup disk.

What happens when you try to boot that?

I downloaded ms dos start up and after restarting it failed to work. Can't be to many options left. Willo.

Same blinking cursor?

Can you still access the Task Manager?

If so: File > New task (Run...) > cmd

Then try: chkdsk /r

If you are told that files are in use and you need to check on next boot choose Y and reboot.
