Sorry I might be getting tired

When you did control userpasswords2 did you see an account named Administrator that was different from the account that you are used to using?

If so: Press Ctrl Alt Delete and choose Logoff then at login choose the Administrator account.

I finally logged into the admin account. No icons but the desktop wallpaper has changed to windows generic hill design. Sorry it took while to reply. Thanks

Do you have a Task Bar and Start menu?

Sorry I am just going out the door until tomorrow but hopefully that account is uncorrupted and you can begin to access everything.

well.... I downloaded discs ok. Changed the boot up drive to the floppy drive. Restarted with disc one inserted. It kicked into life then suddenly went to a black screen with a blinking cursor. I waited a while but the drive was not whirring. I tried again, same result. Willo.
