Hello,

i am having some trouble downloading a sound card onto my newly-remformatted computer.

i downloaded my graphics cards, after about 5 downloads if finally got NIVDIA Geforce graphics card working .

Now all i need is my sound card...

on my other computer i just installed soundmax (c) digital audio, which worked fine. I seem to download hundreds of sound cards and none work.

Any assistance would be much apprciated, thanks in advance,

Do you have a PCI Sound Card or is your audio on-board?

If the latter: We need the make and model of the computer and or the make and model of the motherboard.

If the former the make and model of the Sound Card.

umm PCI soundcard...not sure though

Try this scan:

If the rear ports are aligned with the mother board (vertical in towers) (horizontal in flat desktops)
then it is probably on-board. A PCI card would be perpendicular to the motherboard.

Unless you knowingly added a PCI Sound Card most computers just have on-board.

Anyway that scan should show it. Just post back the results.
