I posted a question regarding vulnerabilty when connecting a computer without firewall or virus protection directly to a computer with said protection that is connected to the internet. I asked it in the Firewalls and Networks forum, but I noticed that all the questions in there seem to relate to wireless networking, and many go unanswered for a long time.

I'm sorry if I'm using bad netiquette to ask about this in this forum as well. I just wondered if I put my question in the right place since I'm not trying to set up a wireless network or firewall?

Every computer should run a firewall and anti virus.

Even if the hardware is firewalled at the router anything that slips thru will spread.

Protect every computer.
