i need help with service pack 2-i always ignore updates so i'm just now installing it.i don't lose my documents that i have saved on my computer b/c i never back things up...i work with macs at my school so windows baffles me a lot....the guy at dell got me to a screen that says
process1_initialization_failed
i don't know much about installing and i'm a college student who can't afford a technical fee i've heard this happens a lot but i live in alabama so ppl aren't v. computer savvy in this area....any sugguestion on what to do???

Did you get this error after installing SP2? Did SP2 install completely?

What have you done? What was the Dell guy having you do? The more details here the better.

That is a common error if you installed SP2 with any Norton or Roxio software running. Especially backup software.

When installing SP2 nothing else should be running.
