I am trying to load windows xp i boot up with windows disk it loads as far as windows is loading files gets as far as kernel debugging and locks up i have put a new hard disk in and get the same thing plase can you help

Are you doing a Clean Install from a Microsoft disk?

That behavior might be related to bad and or insufficient RAM.

You might try running MemTest and or try different RAM.
