I am trying to play a DVD movie on my Vaio laptop and for some reason it wouldn't work.
I have tried different DVDs and different software including a pre-installed WinDVD and it wouldn't work.
I finally noticed an error message displayed by WinDVD for half a second: "cannot create a superposition(?!!?), please reduce resolution and color intensity(?) and try again.
My Vaio is a 17". I tried even a 800x680 resolution and it still wouldn't work.

Would greatly appreciate your help.

you probably havent got a dvd decoder they are about €15 and can be downloaded from microsofts website
