    Connecting new computer

A good friend of mine just bought the Dell 5150 and said it was pretty good so i just bought that.I have a dell laptop and have had no problems with it so far.But i have a problem with the new computer i can't get it to connect to the internet.I have a Linksys wireless-G asdl Router and my old pc and a laptop are able to connect through this. The new pc connects for about a second and then it says a network cable is unplugged. The dell pc has Intel(R)PRO/100VE Network Connection. Can anyone tell me what to do.Thanks

you can get a wireless card that'll fit into one of the empty PCI slots for about £20

Do you need this?My new computer has Intel(R)PRO/1000VE Network Connection.Does that not mean that i would not need a wireless card and if i still need it where would i buy it.Thanks Again

I think that you'll find that the Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connection is only a normal wired network connection

    Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connection
Intel’s Fast Ethernet Controller (100 Mbps), links your PC to the broadband internet or home network (via a Cat 5 cable), thus providing a high quality network connection to enable rapid sharing and delivery of premium digital content (i.e. online movies, internet games, digital photos, music, etc.).

Most PC shops will sell a PCI wireless network card heres a quick example http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...lance&n=560798
