Can someone please tell me how to install a second hard drive so that you can boot from either one? XP and Fedora on second drive. Thanks is you can help.

if you install the second drive as a slave the when you start the machine press the key needed to choose where to boot from.

or install fedora on the same drive and have a dual boot system

Thanks brain_damage. Think I will go for the second drive as I do not want to have to format (again!) in order to create two partitions. I understand the slave drive bit but am unsure what the "needed key" is that I must press in order to select which drive to boot. But much thanks, I will work it out (or else you will hear from me again!)

when you boot up your machine the first screen will have the BIOS make and other details while it's counting the RAM you should see "BIOS press DEL" "Boot sequence press F8"
