my pc is taking along time to boot once i have logged on ia there a list of just the basic things i need to run the system or should i just put up with it

Hello Spud, lets try Bootvis to optimize the boot process. You can download it from HERE
Once you have it installed open it and click Trace and then click Opyimize System. (See screen shot) When you click Optimize system your computer will reboot, it takes a few minutes but you should see a window saying optimizing system or something like that. Let it go ahead and do it's thing and see if that helps. Let me know

hello bear thanks for the help, i loaded that program up and ran it the boot up is better but where i am having the main problem is once i have logged on it takes the hard drive at least 2-3 mins to finish what ever it needs to do when you log on

also do you know of any stability problems when trying to open up the control panel as mine sonmetimes freezes
