HP Omnibook 4150 Wireless Card Help

I have a HP Omnibook 4150 and would love to have a wireless card and router that would work with it. The Omnibook has Windows XP on it. The computer with the modem attatched to it is a Dell Dimension, also with Windows XP installed on it. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would be REALLY thankful. Note: I'm only 13, so I can't really afford $200 routers. Thanks!

Sorry, I ment to say modem (not router). It did have a router conected to it until today (a Belkin 802.11g) but when I called tech support the woman said that my family's Dell Dimension was NOT giving the Belkin router the IP address that it needed. (If you know how to correct this problem, please let me know) After that, I took both the wireless card and router back and have done nothing since. Another problem came up with the Omnibook 4150. Apparently the driver for "network adapters" is missing and I have been looking everywhere to find something to replace that. I really need some help here because its looking that I will never have internet on my Omnibook. Thanks, Ben

so you taken the router back, how is the PC (DELL) connected to the modem?

you will need a router to share the internet connection.

the wireless router should have LAN ports to connect PC's with ethernet cables, will you notebook connect to the net with an ethernet cable connected to the modem?

There is an ethernet cable running from the modem to the computer. I can't connect my notebook to the modem because there is no place to put an ethernet cable into.
