Are you booting a Microsoft XP CD or an OEM (computer manufacturer) disk?
If the latter who is the manufacturer?
Those install errors are very strange if you are using a full version Microsoft XP CD and doing a Clean Install.
If you are using an OEM Recovery disk then we need to know who the manufacturer is.

OEM disk
My manufacturer is DELL

Funny thing is..i reinstalled windows for the sixth time and this happened AGAIN...1stly internet disconnects..then..afterwards i get a blank screen...

If you are starting in Safe Mode it is common for such drivers not to load.
Safe Mode only loads drivers that are absolutely necessary to start XP.
I would run a diagnostic on your hard drive. Who is the manufacturer?
If you do not know look in the Device Manager under Disk drives.
Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager
The manufacturer's web site will have a diagnostic.
You might also run check disk via start Run... cmd
Then type chkdsk /f
When told the volume is in use type Y to run on reboot and then reboot.
-
oh not again...ive got the error again!!..manufacturer Dell.
"You might also run check disk via start Run... cmd
Then type chkdsk /f
When told the volume is in use type Y to run on reboot and then reboot."
i tried that on safe mode .. no improvements...
what do i do on Device manager...Disk drives...i know how to get there its just where do i go from there..
Error after i Manually switch it off..." we aplogies for the inconvience, but windows did not start successfully. a recent hardware or software changed might of caused this"

cant reinstall windows wither...tried it. and it delays so long...it stops on the Looking for previous installations of microsoft windows XP..but i dont want to do that now. it takes to long... i left it to search for 5 hrs and so i gave up so i think i'll just stick with Safe mode. But i want to get it to start up normally again...
i want to fix my computer on Safe mode. yet i can't..
This is what is precisely happening to my computer yet i can't really understand.

Boot your XP CD and press the first R to enter the Recovery Console.
Select your XP installation and enter your password (blank if none ever set) and Enter
Then type the command FIXMBR and Enter.

ok i tried again to start up windows normally...still starts up with a black screen still no progress...
is it possible that in the stage...."searching for previous versions of microsoft windows" it depends how many times Windows has been installed?
because even when i am trying to Reinstall Windows this is my problem.....so i want to fix my computer from safe mode....still unable to fix thou....
