I'm having the same problem as the other user with the error message.........the computer would not let me boot up in safe mode so i did a total system recovery......now when i cut my computer on it gets to my icon screen and restarts, trys to reboot and gets no further than that screen and restarts...i'm running windows XP home edition

Can you boot into Safe Mode since the Recovery?

How did you Recover? With a Microsoft XP CD? Or is this a manufactured computer (OEM)?

If so what is the exact make and model of the computer? If this is the case did you use their System Recovery disk?
