hi again.

when i log out of my user name or shut down the computer and go back my name i get lots of pop ups. my common folder pops up. and a bunch of other stuff, is there a way i can chang the settings or something?

Please define in detail "a bunch of other stuff".


Also:

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore



If that doesn't help go to start/run msconfig | startup and uncheck the entries there.

As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
(Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.

progams that i have installed on my computer pop up and say hi. i have no clue how this common folder started popping up. i have not even made a common folder. i dont want to say hi to the progams. I dont have a virus or anything and i have all the adware and all that stuff. i just wonder if there was a way to stop progams from popping up when i reboot or log out.

Ok i got it. i did misconfig and got rid of the pop ups. thanks for helping.
