    Re: Three hard drives

If you do not have a floppy drive you will need to get a CD for this motherboard. Perhaps ASUS will offer one although I do not find a quick link on their site other than contact:

    http://support.asus.com/contact/cont...Language=en-us

Again: just to verify: are you using a Microsoft XP CD to install XP?

If you do not see the F6 prompt the drivers would be moot.

Oh yeah sorry. Yes, it is a fully registered original copy of Microsoft XP. Alright I will see what I can do. I will let you know

Right after you boot that CD you should see a prompt (briefly) to load RAID drivers by pressing F6.

I am pretty sure that you need to do this as a conventional ATA setup only allows for 4 drives overall.

If you have 2 DVD and 2 HDD the third (and or all) HDD's must be in a RAID configuration which requires these drivers.

Just with an after thought: unless you have a PCI IDE controller card which could support additional drives.

Again you might want to post this scan:

Sorry, I did not realize what you meant earlier about posting the hardware scan. So, there you go. I do not have a PCI controller card installed.

So your Samsung and Seagate drives are showing there.

Assuming that all three HDD's are internal (not the third an USB external) then the third must be connected to a SATA slot in a RAID configuration.

I do have SP2 installed but am trying to have a friend of mine extract the RAID controller to a floppy then burn an image to a CD so that I can use it. I hope that will work
