I seen this problem many times...it has been happning a while not sure if its a program that messed it up..I know when I reformat windows and all it all works fine..but when I get my programs back it dont...what I am saying is that every time I put in a CD DVD CDR CDRW etc etc any kind and all kinds...I have to REBOOT my computer to get it to recognize the new disk...which is a hassel when your downloading stuff and dont want to intrupt anything...is there a way I can make it so windows will recognize the disk like it did before...if any other information you guys need from me in order to help me with this nagging problem let me know

Any error messages? Have you checked your AutoPlay settings?

Did you load CD/DVD software? If so which?
