Password protected files on slave drive

Please Help - Password protected files on slave drive
We had a "T2245"emachine and when we turned the machine on the front
light kept blinking like it was trying to boot but never did. It will
not even try to read the CD drives or the floppy. The light just blinks
and the computer never boots up!
The new machine is a "T3120.
Both computers use Windows XP Home addition.
From what we understand we are unable to hook the old drive as the master
do to the fact that the old computer is a Celeron and the new one is AMD.
We hooked the old drive to the new computer as a slave and it would not
read it. Someone advised us to remove norton go back if we had it on
because it makes it invisible. We did so and it worked. The hard drive to
the old computer works as a slave on the new one. The thing is we had
separate desktops and one had a password on it.
When we access the slave drive all files are there.
I can access the ones with no password so I have been able to retrieve
the files and copy them.
However when we tried to retrieve the files with the password it says
access denied.
We know this is because of the logon password protection.
It does not give the option to put in the password. Is there a way to
change users on the slave drive?
We cannot find that option anywhere!
Is there a way we could access the logon option to remove the password so the files can then be copied to
the new hard drive?
Thanks so much for any help!

In general password protection would not carry over like this but something has.
The files were not encrypted were they?
See if this helps:
