    Deleted sound device/driver - HELP!!!

Hi could someone please help me.

I was deletingh programmes that I thought I didn't need or use and after I was finished deleting a few things, my computer would no longer play sound or let me record sound, talk through mic or nothing.

When I try to it says that sound card is in use. I do not have a recover cd or any cds that came with the computer. However I did open up the computer and looked at the motherboard. The motherboard is an ASrock, also on the motherboard it said ATA 133 and on another part it said 5.1ch USB2.0.

I checked my computer, device manager and there is a yellow explanation and question mark next to other devices ans multimedia audio controller. I think this means that they are deleted, I am not so sure. Could someone please help as it is driving me crazy not being able to listen to music or speak to my family over mic overseas. Thank you.

My computer isn't a make or model, but I do run windows XP.

    Any other suggestions?
I've checked all cables and everything else seems to be in working order. System restore will not work and I dunno what else to do?

Thank you for any help, it's appreciated x

the yellow question mark means the driver's not installed properly

go do device manager find the sound driver right click go to properties in general check to see if its set to use this device and also go to the drivers section and see if you can update the driver

There is no yellow question mark since I have installed it though, it has taken it away.

But there is still no sound and all cables are plugged in.
