    Question Registry Backup Method

I have a question regarding the (best) method for backing up my registry. I've read about two methods, and I'd like to know which one is best.

The first is to open regedit and export. The second is to use the backup utility (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Backup) and backup what is called the "system state".

Which method is best to protect my PC in case of any problems? (I hope I'm making myself understood.)

The export function works fine for backing up individual keys during editing operations.

System State is much better for the whole registry.

    ERUNT in the best.
