    Error message won't go away

After going online, the following error message box appeared on my screen:

    IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c901010" referenced memory at "0x01d40ea0". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.

I clicked OK, but the box just jumps to a different part of the screen. Clicking on the X in the corner does not close the box; the box just jumps to another part of the screen. No matter how many times I click OK or the X, the box does not close.

How do I get rid of this thing?

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    If that doesn't clear it:

As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
    (Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.

After they clear your log and if the problem persists please return to this thread.

The next step would be to test your hardware.
