screen saver inop

    Question screen saver inop

    newby here... screen saver quit working (won't start automatically). works if i launch it manually, but not on it's own. just started doing it, was working fine. any suggestions? thanks

    Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

    start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    went to registry and found folder named "don't load" ... what the #@&%$*& is that?

    Maybe why it won't load?

    Export the key (as a backup) and then delete that entry and reboot.

    See if that works.

    no luck...system won't stay in standby mode either...i checked to see if a program was running i didn't know about, then put it in standby...came back on about 30 seconds later

    (Not in this section please).

    Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.
