hi, my sony notbook laptop computer does not recognise that it has a battery, so when i pull out the ac plug it just shuts off, i got a new battery just incase he old one was fried, but it still does not recognise it can someone please help?

The first battery ideas in the FAQ are:

Take the battery pack off the notebook, unplug the power cord and plug it in
again, then turn on the power.

The computer does not turn on directly after inserting the battery.


If the computer does not turn on directly after inserting the battery, wait 10 to 15 seconds after inserting the battery before pressing the power button.

New batteries need to be charged as well before the first use.
