i am using a microsoft windows xp sp 2 os.
internet explorer 7
my net stops recieveing bytes every now and then hence i have to disable and enable again every time it happens.
the frequecy is almost every minute in the day time and 5 minutes in the night or in the night it might not give any problems at time.
the server provider says it has no problem related from his server.
so pls if anyone could help me....

oh and yes its a laptop so if it somehow helps in letting to know the problem..

Did you have any problems with IE 6?

If not you might consider uninstalling IE 7.

Otherwise what is the exact error messgae that you get?


Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id & Description especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
Also check the Information lines that might coincide with this issue.

well i have checked the event viewer
i have found quite a few error lines which were described at windows live messenger, microsoft office 12 , few didnt have any source , msi installer.
the event id for miscrosoft office 12 & windows live messenger is 1000.
msi installer event id is 11713
i am not sure if u wanted this .
another line of errors was found in my antivirus in the event viewer.
my antivrus is avast.
can u give me any good antivirus programme which i should maintain if avast is not any good.
