Ok, here's an easy one for you.

After struggling to use file/printer/internet sharing with my dads PC and tying about 50 hunches i had (it turned out i hadn't installed motherboard drivers after clean XP installation) the profile screen that usually greets me no longer appears.

I get a square box asking for password (i just click enter and it works)

its only a minor annoyance but i've done it before and can't remember how i fixed it or where i got info from to fix it.

start > control panel > user accounts > change the way users logon or off > use the welcome screen
