so i just got this external case, turns an internal hard drive into and external and it goes though usb. it works fine, but when i turn it off my internet goes down and i have to pull out my usb wireless card and put it back in... any idea why?

also its usb 2.0 and i really dont know weather or not my usb is 2.0

What do you mean by "turn it off"?

USB 2.0 is backwards compatible to 1.0 but it will run at the slower speed.

If by "turn it off" you mean that you are just unplugging it (hot swapping) you may need to check if your motherboard is set for hot swapping or else you may need to use the Remove Hardware Safely wizard.

well theres an on off swich on the back... but i have toehr usb devices that arent effected.
