About two weeks ago I noticed something screwy with the power save feature on my lappy. When operating correctly the monitor's backlight will dimmed while running off a battery, and brightened when running off AC power. For the past two weeks that function has been reversed. I've tried fixing it myself but to no avail.
I've attempted altering the configuraion of the display itself, as well as different configurations of the power save settings and nothing is having any effect. Does anyone know what the problem might be, and more importantly....does anyone know how I can go about fixing it. Thanks in advance.
so you mean when you are running off a battery your screen goes brighter and when you plug it into the mains, it goes dimmer?
What is the make + model of your laptop?
i dont know much about this problem, but have you tried a system restore?
