    please please help

    Please I hope you can help

    Problem 1

    My son deleted windows accidently and by the time I had noticed what he had done he was messing around in that blue screen but not sure if he changed anything are the settings standard if so what are the settings........

    Promblem 2 related to problem 1

    When I bought my computer is was preinstalled with windows XP I received no disks what so ever and when my son deleted windows I tried to put windows 98 in but would not work I contacted the shop and he said he would reinstall it but I had to pay..... I only bought the comp the day before.......so if anything was gonna go wrong again it would cost me everytime.....I have to children it would mount up.......i prefere windows 98 is it possible that the man in the shop has configured my computer so that only the copy of windows that he has con be installed if so how can I change this so i can put my windows 98 on please i hope you can help

    I have just set my comp back up again after posting other thred about my windows being deleted..... I have tried to get into the blue screen only to discover not only has he totally stuffed my computer by deleting windows ect but he has also set and a password but dont remeber it what can i do apart from thtow a brand new computer in the bin any ideas will be appreciated thank you

    what will happen if i take the battery out of my comp as my son has put a password to get into the blue screens but cant remember it....... he deleted my windows so it cant really get any worse can it??? and if i do take it out will i have to still enter password for blue screens also if i had password i could not put it in as only parts of keyboard is working for some reason what the hell has happned to my computer

    if you take the battery out all it will do is reset the BIOS.

    have you any recovery discs that came with the PC?

    No everything was preinstalled and if you read other threads it explains it all and the guy in the shop is gonna charge me for reinsatlling it.......it asks for a password to enter the blue screen will it take this off i take battery out coz he forgot the password and when i enter the password screen the keyboard stops working

    I have taken the battery out of my computer then reinserted it all was going well and I also found that it started to reload my windows what was previously deleted by my son but then it just freezez during start up and it freezes on the windows welcome screen what can I do as no disks were provided with my PC thank you for any help and advice that you can provide me

    I took the battery out of my comp as my son had stuffed it but now it is coming up with CMOS settings wrong can anyone help with this as i do not have a clue thank you very much

    What is the exact make and model of the computer? Or was it custom built?

    If the latter look on the motherboard for some identification e.g. ASUS P5VD1-X

    Every computer should have Recovery Disks supplied. You should demand this of the retailer or builder.

    Otherwise you can install 98 after formatting the hard drive.

    As to getting back your BIOS we need to ID the motherboard and or the manufacturer of the computer.

    I have looked every where on the comp for ID and i cannot find anything it was custom built and I also phoned the guy in the shop and he would not give a back up disk said i had to pay to repair my comp.....how do i format my HD also please tell me i am not thick is the A drive a floppy if so my comp seems to have 1 installed but i cannot locate it anywhere on my comp to put the boot disk in any ideas anyone cos i am now totally lost thank you for all your repiles i think i might just get some where
