Re: OE E-Mail corrupts my image files when I transmit messages
Now that IS a step forward - OE still sending out those corrupted image e-mails. Just tried it to myself. Same-o, same-o. Think I told you before, but when trying to Insert/Picture & then click Browse, Explorer folders open, but then won't go beyond that and system freezes.
Maybe this is an easier place to start for right now.

Not to take you off track, but on every shutdown I get a dialog box telling me a problem with "DirectDBWNDNotifyProc" shutting down. Do I want to End Now or Cancel...
Is this anything to worry about? Could it tie in to something else?

Now I just got a Runtime Error in OE. C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe. Dialog box indicates "MIcrosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

That is an Outlook Express issue so maybe you have found another link:

At this point I am just Googling and searching my data bases so I will just pass on info.
Sorry that I have no concrete ideas at this point.

msimn.exe is Outlook Express.
I would suggest reinstalling it clean.

How do I manually uninstall and reinstall Outlook® Express in the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system?

Reading thru the procedure looks pertty scary. Especially since I must rely on Dell and their presumed operation of inserting proper CD.

Now OE does not delete msgs from Inbox when instructed.
