Thanks for your help this evening, but I have to fade away for now...will pick it up tomorrow. Didn't want to keep you hanging.
Thx again,
Bill

No problem. I am here most evenings about this time. Best of luck!

Just as a footnote, but while shutting down IE for the night I got an error box for file RCDMENU.EXE

Something maybe we could address while we await for Neal to respond to the CoffeeCup Spam Blocker issue...
When I send an e-mail with an image embedded such as a web page, the jpeg (or gif) link in the composition segment appears normal, but when it arrives, and sometime after it's transmitted it arrives with the link as such: mhtml:mid://00000242/!http://www.dispatch.com/2006/06/11/2...Pc-C1-1100.jpg
Where does that portion "mhtml:mid//00000242/!" come from? How does that get affixed? I believe this is the culprit that is appearing as a virus (by some virus filters) and is applying the data in the Subject field o fthe msg. In addition, when I inlcude myself I get an indpendent msg for each image, but as an attached ".dat" file with nothing in the msg body!

I can find very little on RCDMENU.EXE although it appears to be a legit Dell file usually not on the system partition.
mhtml:mid://00000242/! is part of the HTML code used in your message. Why it is showing up (visible) is the question. I see many links between this behavior and Malware; Virus; Trojan; etc.
You might want to check your Send settings in OE: Tools > Options > Send > HTML Settings
-
In HTML, Encode text using "Quoted Printable" or "base 64"? "Send pictures with messages is also checked. Plain text, nothing is checked.
-
International Settings is "Western European (Windows)
-
Try:
Quoted Printable
and
Western European ISO

No change. Still screws up. Sent a test msg to myself one image in msg body. The 1st msg came thru fine, but 3 other msgs came thru with nothing in body, but each had a .dat file attached.

Oddly, only the original msg to myself comes into my Inbox, remaining three are dumped into my Deleted Folder!
