Hi, when i turn on my computer, i get past the bios screen and then get one of the following messages:

    Checkpoint Poke
    Checkpoint Krst
    Checkpoint USB 1**
    Checkpoint Aux1**
    Checkpoint Size
    Checkpoint Time**

**= only recieved this one once

Sometimes it gets past the bootscreen and then restarts
I tried a repair install but that did nothing
Cant get into safemode because i get "Keyboard failure"

    does anyone have any ideas?

oh yeh, it started off just suddenly restarting but now it hardly goes on and when it does, only for about 20 mins.

    Hi MadMike,
I am having a problem with my computer, and have no idea how to fix it. Hopefully you can help, you seem very computer savy. When I first enter my password to get to my desktop, this message always pops up in a box;it says RUNDLL in the upper left corner then says
ERROR LOADING C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar|1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL Do you have any idea what this means or how to fix it, I would appreciate any help you could assist with. Thank You.

might be spyware, run a virus and spyware scan, then follow the instructions in the spyware, viruses..... section and post a hijack this log there, you will get a better response than if you post it here

Update to my problem----- re-tried repair install and it says it wasnt finding the files (it has done this before) and last time it didnt work so i ended up doing a clean install anyway so i decided to turn it off and do a clean install.

i'll let you know how it goes

I did have a look round for the problem but couldn't find anything very specific about it. Every one I read ended up doing a clean install.

Ah i had that problem - amongst many others and Dell support was no use whatsoever; gave up and took it to local PC company (Nsys ) expecting to have to pay for new hardware or a clean install as a minimum, but they just put it on the bench, did something in the BIOS and tweaked the registry (took less than 5 mins) and it all works well again! only cost me a few quid to fix... so there is a cure but they were to quick for me to take it all in. Sorry guys, not much help, but now you know its possible!

LOL; I know what you mean! come to think of it, perhaps Dell customers could just phone your Grandma?
