Alright. i have a major porblem right now. i cant use commas for some reason so jsut get used to seeing lots of periods. i cant type anything in word because clicking anywhere on the page selects everything from a certain point up near the top all the way down to whereever i click. this also happens on the desktop< trying to select on program selects all programs between the one in the upper left hand corner all the way down to whatever icon i just clicked. shift does not work to make capital letters so i am doing without for now. numbers only show up as!@#$%^&*() fromt he top row of numbers. the numbers on the pad on the side dont work and im gonan toss this computer out the window soon. any ideas before i give it the heave ho? *whew* i wasnt even sure the question mark was going to work.

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

tried system restore. no go.

Are the keyboard and mouse a packaged product? Are they wireless? USB? PS/2?

Do you have another keyboard and mouse that you can try?
