After returning from a service my XP SP2 taskbar only shows the time and the day. I cannot find any way to make it show the date as well. I know it's in there somewhere as it used to do it - can anyone help?
The date shows if there is room. If the taskbar is just a single row
high then there isn't enough room to show the date. Right click
on the taskbar and make sure that Lock the Taskbar is not checked. With
it unchecked you can then click, hold and drag the top of the taskbar up
to a height that allows enough room for the date to show with the time.
Once you have it where you want it consider locking it again so it
stays in that position.
Other than that you either had or need a third party program such as:

Thanks jephree, that's fixed it. I was thinking it was much more complicated than that.Originally Posted by jephree
