Can't print using msn or IE

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with my girl's desktop now. She can't print using a Microsoft pruduct i.e. MSN, IE, and even Works. All it does is print pages and pages of code(?). For example:<TABLE cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 width=72 border=0> and on and on. As a matter of fact, it printed 7 pages of this for a one page reciept. She was able to print using firefox. Any suggestions? Also a little background, I was having a scripting problem on my desktop and with Neal's help was able to clear that problem but ever since that time, my girl's desktop lost it's avatars for msn sign-in ( it just shows the quest dsl avatar) and she keeps getting this error: Rundll, An exception occured while trying to run "fldrclnr.dll,Wizard_Rundll. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Here is one possibility although it was posted circa Windows 9x:

    SYMPTOMS

When you try to print a Web page using Internet Explorer or a
    Hypertext Markup Language
(HTML) message using Outlook Express, HTML source code may be printed
    instead of the Web
page or message you are viewing.

    CAUSE

This problem can occur if temporary files (.tmp) are associated with
    a text editor (such as
    Notepad).

    RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

1.Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

2.On the View menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File
    Types tab.

3.In the Registered File Types box, click each file type one at a
time, and then view the file
    extension under "File type details."

4.If the file extension is TMP, click Remove, and then click OK.

In XP go to start > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types

    Hi Jephree,
No that is not it , I followed the instructions and there weren't any .tmp. Any other suggestions? Thanks

For more info: it doesn't print code in works, my fault. It only seems to be in msn and i.e. now. And the avatars on the welcome screen to msn change. How strange.

when you go on print prieview, what do you see?

also, is it just one website you are having problems with? try printing off some others if youhavnt already done so.

    Hi,
Thats' just it. We learned not to just print but even print preview shows code. It is only on i.e. and msn and only on this desktop. Works fine on firefox, and it doesn't matter which website on i.e. and msn even the home pages of both of these. I'm on IE right now and on this forum ( in print preview) and it shows code. Sorry I know it sounds like I'm talking in circles. Either too little coffee or too much. LOL. Thanks

that suggests it is not your printer. I would sugest that you re-install I.E.
Can you print normally off word yet?
    Try notepad or word pad.

I cant find any settings on I.E about printing code.

Like i said, i would just re-install I.E. sorry i dont have any more ideas ATM, ill keep looking
