my pc died and then came up with the folowing error when i tryed to rebbot
(this application has failed to start because odbc.dll was not found re installing the application may fix the problem)
i pressed ok that then took me to the following message
(the logon user interface dll.msgina.dll failed to load contact your system administrator to replace or restore the orginal dll.)
i rebooted the pc with the drivers and xp disk and recovered the system(all files still in tact thank goodness i cant afford to loss the files that are storeed to my pc)
but then when i shut down again and rebboted the next moring i had the same error messages as above again
so i tryed to recover the sytem again!!
this time it would not work and i just keep getting the error messages as above.
please could some one help me to get my pc back to normal with out losing my files

msgina.dll is a module loaded by Winlogon to implement the authentication policy. The file performs all user identification and authentication interactions.
Are you using a retail XP CD to run the Repair Install? Or is this an OEM Recovery disk?
If the latter what is the exact make and model of the computer?
If you data is that important you should slave this drive on another computer and extract the data and in the future backup to removable media or a second hard drive.
If you are running a Repair Install off a retail version XP and it continues to bring this error try a Clean Install after extracting your data on another computer.
If you were running an OEM Recovery CD and the error persists after a non-destructive Recovery then you probably need to run a Destructive Recovery after extracting your data on another computer.
