My daughter pulled the charger while the laptop (Advent7086 Intel Celeron M360 M360 processor 1.4 GHZ) was on. She said the battery also was in. Now she has a problem to start the laptop et always gets this message:
"Press any key from CD or DVD starting PC Dos ...."
The problem is that she doesn't have anymore the Window recovery CD
What should she do to reboot without the recovery.

Does it have a floppy drive?

What is the verbatim error messgae?

What happened to the recovery CD?

there is no floppy drive
She couldn't find the recovery CD
it just says "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD starting PC DOS ....

You might try:

To start the recovery, press the F10 key when you first turn on your computer. You might find it easier to tap F10 repeatedly until you see “Starting System Recovery”.

If the above doesn't work you will need to find an Advent CD.
