    Talking Display

    I have a new computer with XP professional. I am listed as an Administrator but I am unable to change the screen resoloution The text is too large.

    I have done the following
    1 Control panel-Display- Settings - Advanced and I can not change the size

    Can anyone please help

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

    are you using IE?

    Go to Veiw......Text size and have a look what the text size is set at

    it is set to smaller.

    has this problem been there all the time or has it just started to happen, have you had any hardware software changes

    I think it is the DPI setting

    Just installed XP Professional. and it seems that the DPI setting is set at 96 which is normal. I can't adjust it to smaller setting

    when you go Display >> Setting was is the Screen Resolution?

    I had the same issue on my PC when installing XP Pro, it sound like the display drivers have not been installed, try going on to the microsoft website and download the correct driver, and then you should be able to change the size of the icons and the colour palette from 16 to 24 to 32bit colour in the settings, and the screen resolution aswell.
