    monitor/booting problem

My computer started acting up, the screen went into standby mode and when I tried turning it on again I just got the "no signal or cable disconnect" message. I tried another monitor that I knew was working, but the same thing happened. Then I tried removing my graphic card and using only the built-in graphic card on my motherboard, and it managed to get into windows. Then the screen started acting up again, still the "no signal or cable disconnect" message. I tried going into safemode but still it disconnected from the screen. It gradually became worse after a few boot attempts, and now it doesnt even show the bootscreen but the screen just stays at standby, displaying the "no signal or cable disconnect" message.. I tried reinstalling windows, but I couldnt do it since I don't see even the boot screen.. The fans and the computer seems to be starting up but I can't get any image on my monitor. So.. I'm not really sure what the problem is but I reaaaallly hope I can save my files and get my computer back into working order. If any of you guys happen to be really good at computers and know what I could do to make it work, pleeease let me know..

Just knowing how bad the problem is and/or whether it is repairable or not would make me feel so much better. Thanks in advance

well.... as you cannot see what you are doing, your options are limited....
    is the HD spinning?
what about when you insert a disk into the cd rom drive, does that spin?

how do you feel about opening your computer?
because you could check for heat.... do not touch anything on the mother board (except cables, to make sure they are in properly or the HD case to see if its vibrating) make sure that if there is a fan on your CPU (on the motherboard) that it is spinning properly and is not jammed.

Also, try the monitor that is plugged in now on a working computer
