Trouble with my removable disk drive!

Well, what can I say let me start from here. My laptop used to recognize the removable disk drive when I virtually installed the disks and the removable drive, now unfortunately it has stopped picking up my REMOVABLE DRIVES that I put in but the funny part of it is before I sent it into a good shop to get repaired for a minor issue, nothing to do with my drives it allowed me to insert a mouse and an MP3 player.
Now when I try to put another MP3 player in it doesn't even show as a REMOVABLE DISK, SOFTWARE INSTALLED AND EVERYTHNG...!!! SAME WITH A USB 2.0 DRIVE TO STORE THINGS ON!!

Now the really weird thing is I know it must be a problem able to fix because the mouse wil WORK FINE and .....MY OTHER MP3 before I got a minor problem fixed will come up as REMOVABLE DRIVE!! WHAT ON EARTH PLEASE HELP!! AND I know the shop wouldn't do ANYTHING because it was a EVESHAM place which is the make of my pc..OOOH and it won't even PICK UP MY CAMERA EITHER aswell...Have I got to enable anything?! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
    help me, thanks.

I don't know if my email might be a quicker way to help me but it is screwback24@hotmail.com thanks!

do your removeable drives get picked up by another machine.

what was your problem before it went to the shop

have you tried removing and reinstalling the drivers

It was a minor problem to do with my power connection using the AC adapter, that had to be fixed. I have tried reinstalling and installing time and time again.

In more detail right now I am currently trying to find where abouts my USB 2.0 drive Store and Go is this is for storing documents and that like you already now, it requires absolutely no software to run nor did it come with any from argos and I just cannot find what's the problem. This has happened with also my Camera which I have installed the software for but still doesn't show, on Device Manager it comes up with a exclamation mark upon it so as I do everything in my power to get it to work it still shows.
Now I know I haven't blown or ruined any of my USB sockets because the weirdest of all is that I currently (before it went in the shop) had an MP3 player installed a mouse and bluetooth adapter they all show fine when I plug them in, could this be an easy solution that can be fixed or does noone have any idea whatsoever?
THEY ALL WORK FINE ON OTHER COMPUTERS!

Thanks for your reply Brain hope you can find me a solution, thank you and hopefully fingers crossed you'll be my enlightener.

Yes I do I have tried every port, it KNOWS that the device is there that NOISE comes up to alert you and it says FOUND NEW HARDWARE, but when I click on it it requests me to install software which I don't need and don't have, like I said from Argos should be plug in and play really.

Any other ways I can get around this mate, very nice of you to help...
IF YOU HAVE msn mate can you add me like I said I need help and your probably the man I need... screwback24@hotmail.com.

    Thankful, Jamie

    Hi,

Thought this might grab your attention abit more, I insert my removable media in and up comes "found hardware" and it gives me the option to install from software, as I bought this from argos and it requires no SOFTWARE should plug in and work.

So up comes the "found hardware" I click off go to device manager thinking it will be under "storage devices" no sign yet it has found that something is on my system. I am absolutely baffled to what I can do...

Someone please help and take the time, thanks.

What is the exact make and model of the laptop?

What is the exact make and model of the USB Drive?

Does the drive show under Disk Management?

A yellow ! is asking for drivers.

Have you called the shop and asked them about this?

Seeing what they may have done might be a good idea.

If we had exact model #'s we could search for ideas.

I still suggest calling the shop that worked on it.

If you find the Evesham model you could look for their drivers.

And just to clarify: under Disk Management: Nothing shows? No hard drive?
