HELP! I need help this time BAAAD!! :"(

I don't know what I did, but today I just restarted my computer, (I use some differente themes visualization for my windows), after I restart my computer, the theme returend to Classic Windows theme. Ok, I changed it back. And there are some programs freezes when I try to open it, like MSN Messenger, Steam (Counter-Strike game), I've only tried those which can not be opened. But yea, it cause me a lot of troubles. Then I tried to use Windows Restore, but it can't open until a long time (LOL, I clicked on it 5 min ago, and start typing this post, and now the windows restore appears) Anyway I think there are some problems in my computer, now i just entered msconfig and set on normal startup, is there anything to do with that? Please help!

P.S. I restarted my computer bcuz it frozed, hope this info helps.

Try booting into Safe Mode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key after your BIOS POST but before Windows starts.

Choose Safe Mode then System Restore.

If this still fails you can run a Repair Install which will retain you programs and settings:

Hi, I think it is solved, but the visual style returned to Classic Windows, does it matters for me to change it back to my previous one?

P.S. thank you a lot once again

I would change it back to an XP theme.

I would be very careful about theme downloads outside of XP.

Many are OK but many have problems (especially if they were free). What were you trying to run?

See if you can use the pre-loaded XP theme you want via Control Panel > Display > Themes

    Thanks for the thanks

    Did you buy StyleXP?

Or were you using a Demo version?

From both StyleXP and themexp.org I am getting a lot of malware/virus hits.

Yea so from now on I will stop using it. But do you have any recommended visual theme sites for me so I can make my windows looks cool?

I don't think there is anything free. WindowBlinds is perhaps the most popular:

You might want to start a new thread entitled XP Themes or similar and others here may have more tips for you.
