Hello i have a HP Pavilion a645c desktop and the problem is that it doesn't turn on. The Led light for the power supply on the back keeps flashing rapidly. please reply to this post please i neeed help.

do the fans spin?
what about the HD's?
What do you see on your screen?
What were you doing before this problem occured?
have you checked all connections on the back of your computer?
Have you dropped it?

Sorry for all the questions but they may help us to figure out what exactly is wrong

the fans do not spin i hear no sound what soever of the computer being alive. The screen says nothing at all it just says entering safemode when you turn on the screen. This computer is not mine. I asked my cuzin the owner if he had turned off the pc by pulling the plug and he said that he does it oftenly. This problem happend before and they gave the pc to me and i went to hp and they gave me directions of what to do over the internet. I did the procedure and nothing happened. I went to the mall after 3 hours later when i came back the flashing in the bck stopped. So i gave it back to them. Recently they called me up that the same problem happened and they turned off the PC abnormally.

They didnot drop it.

I donot know what you mean by HD's.

Dont worry about asking me too many questions.

I just want this PC fixed.

Sorry by HD's i mean hard drives but as there is no sound from inside the computer, the HD's must not be spinning

it sounds like the power supply unit (PSU) ibecause there is no power going to the HD's, Motherboard or the fans, this would suggest its not a lose connection internally

I would sugest that you try a different power supply from another computer e.g your own. (if possible) before you buy a new one (that is of course if you feel alright about opening your case)

or, slip in to your local computer shop and ask them there.
