Can't log in to anything
I've recently discovered that I cannot log into anything at all. Not yahoo, hotmail, World of Warcraft, nothing. Please help me fix this.
-
Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?
If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
-
It seems pretty new. Thought I've restored back two weeks and it isn't finished yet.
-
Are you saying that System Restore did not work? Is it freezing? What is happening?
-
Let me show you an example. Below is the text when I try to log into Yahoo or any other e-mail interface throught Mozilla.
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at login.yahoo.com
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
When trying to login to an e-mail interface with IE, I get a similar page.

OK ... but what happened when you tried a System Restore?
Also: Other than connectivity is your computer working OK?
Is your ISP connection working?
-
When I tried system restore, nothing changed, just the same problem persisted. My internet connection is A-OK, it's mostly login interfaces. I'm about to try and restore the computer a month. I'll let you know how it works.

It worked. Thank you sooooo much Jeph.

Thanks for the update and the thanks!
Let us know if we can help further in the future!
