I have been having a problem with a browser hijack on my PC. I run AVG Anti-Virus, Spyware Vanisher, and NoAdware regularly. They seem to find and remove all the problems 99% of the time, which I guess is fairly good.
AVG antivirus is not able to scan /read one file though, name is "dmyec.exe". I looked online to see if I could find this files purpose and found nothing useful. Do you know if I need this file? And if not should I just delete it? Thanks in advance.

When a file gets no hits from Google you can be pretty certain that it is bogus or just unnecessary.

You might also want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:
