A way to fix corrupt NTFS partition? Mix RAM?
Hi everyone.
This question has been buggin me for a while. Is there a way to fix a corrupt NTFS partition? Say there is nothing wrong with the boot sector. The computer boots up ok. But every now and again there's anomalies and errors. Everything else in the computer is tested and works ok. When you run the seatools hard drive test it says hard drive has passed but the NTFS partition has failed the test.
I have tried sfc, chkdsk and windows repairs, and they don't work. So is there a way? Or does it simply signify the partition is unstable and needs to be reformated?
Also on another note. Should you mix RAM brands in a computer, say Kingston and Amicrow DDR 2700 RAM? Or even speeds? I personally have never had problems with it. Is there a technical explanation why you can't?
Thanks in advance for clarifying those for me.

Starting with RAM:
If you have no problem you have no problem. If you mix speeds everything goes to the slowest. That is all.
If you mix brands you may or may not have problems. Apparently you don't. If you did then that would be a prime suspect.
As to the NTFS I would like to see verbatim error mesages.
Hope this helps
