Started suddenly, might have pressed a wrong button combination or then it's a god damn annoying virus software.

Random keys, mainly number - and special buttons (/Y%¤, space,esc and so on) make a combination of letters or keys appear on the screen. For example pressing the number four gives 54, number three gives 83, space does a combination of space + the right arrow key. And some buttons just dont function at all.

When typing or using the special buttons, the left one of the three lights in the top left corner of the keyboard keeps blinking on and off.

Which indicates that I've just activated a mode with different keybindings by accidentally pressing the wrong key combination, - similar to the change that takes place after switching the system language.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Have you tried a different keyboard?

If that doest help I would first run a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
